National project 2018 – 2022
From 2018 to 2022, ÚNMS SR implemented national project “Implementation and support of quality management in public administration organizations.” Thanks to that quality management was successfully implemented in many public administration organizations, and CAF centre was established as a consulting and educational centre in the field of quality management.

Improving public administration organizations qualitatively is possible only with positively motivated employees and engaged managers who are committed to change things for the better. Building a high-quality organization is a long-term endeavor, during which many obstacles must be overcome. There are many ways to approach enhancing the efficiency of organizations, one of which is the implementation of quality management. This approach offers an opportunity to look inside the organization and find the right path to improvement, the results of which will be felt not only by the employees but also by citizens—customers of public administration.
Project Objective: To contribute to increasing the efficiency and quality of management of public administration organizations’ activities
Main Project Activity: Development of quality management in public administration organizations (consisting of two parts):
- Implementation of quality management in central state administration bodies and contributory and budgetary organizations (implementation part of the project)
- In the first part of the project, partner organizations implemented the CAF model, the EFQM Excellence Model, the ISO 9001 quality management system, a pilot implementation of the anti-bribery management system according to ISO 37001 and a pilot implementation of the Self-Assessment Tool for Quality Culture. The implementation, adoption, and further continuous development of one of the above-mentioned tools in organizations contributed to the improvement of activities, the enhancement of services provided, and particularly to ensuring the fulfillment of citizens/customers’ requirements. - Establishment of the CAF centre
- The second part focused on the establishment of CAF centre within the ÚNMS SR, which provides activities guided by skilled personnel and experts in the field of quality management. The CAF centre provides educational and consulting activities to public administration organizations and ensures the exchange of experiences and best practices in quality management. The goal of the CAF centre is to raise awareness about quality management in various types of public administration organizations and to increase the level of its implementation within them.
