Results of the National Project
The national project “Implementation and Support of Quality Management in Public Administration Organizations” was implemented by the Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing between 2018 and 2022. The main activity was divided into two parts, the results of which are shown below.
Establishment of the Training Room and Launch of the CAF Centre’s Training Activities
One of the first activities of the national project was the establishment of the CAF Centre’s training room at the Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing. The room was equipped with modern technology and soundproofed to ensure a comfortable training environment.
Training activities of the CAF Centre were launched in early 2019, following the planning of key topics and the selection of expert trainers. The training portfolio covers basic quality management topics (including the CAF model and ISO 9001), complementary quality-related topics, and leadership and teamwork development. Over time, the range of training activities has been gradually expanded.
Implementation of the CAF Model in 15 Public Administration Organizations
With the support of the CAF Centre, the CAF model was implemented in 15 public administration organizations. All organizations completed the self-assessment and improvement processes and underwent CAF External Feedback, with all receiving the international title “Effective CAF User.”
The organizations that implemented the CAF model with the support of the CAF Centre are as follows::
- Municipalities: Municipality of Bratislava–Staré Mesto, Municipality of Šaľa, Municipality of Liptovský Mikuláš, Municipality of Žilina, Municipality of Nitra, Municipality of Sabinov, Municipality of Bratislava–Vajnory, Municipality of Skalica, Municipality of Vysoká nad Kysucou

Published Methodologies and Studies
During the national project, 10 professional materials covering various quality management topics were published. These methodologies and studies are intended to support managers and employees of public administration organizations who are considering a systematic approach to quality management and are unsure how to proceed.
They also help readers become familiar with specific topics before participating in training activities, supporting the development of their knowledge. In addition, the methodologies and studies may assist in addressing practical challenges or initiating improvement within organizations. They provide practical guidance and recommendations and often include examples of good practice and experiences from other organizations. The materials are divided into three main categories, focusing on the CAF model, management systems, and other quality management–related topics.
