The Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava is another recipient of the Effective CAF User label
Updated 12.11.2025

The CAF Model is a total quality management tool designed for public administration organisations. The Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU) also chose it as a way to improve its processes, increase the quality of services provided, and pave the way for continuous improvement.
After responding to the call by the Slovak Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing (ÚNMS SR), STU became one of nine successful organisations that received support from the CAF Centre in implementing the CAF Model. The implementation at STU began in May 2023. The organisation gradually went through the phases of preparation, self-assessment, and improvement, and in December 2024, it underwent the final CAF External Feedback assessment. This was carried out by external assessors who, on-site, verified the correctness and effectiveness of the implementation steps and the level of adherence to the principles of excellence.
“Quality is not an unknown concept in the university environment. All universities must have a functional internal quality system. I am very glad that, in addition to established processes and standards, the Slovak University of Technology has also adopted the CAF Model, which looks at the entire organisation holistically, and not just at the final products of its activities. Achieving the label of Effective CAF User is an even greater success because the organisation underwent the self-assessment during the most challenging period for the university – at the time of a concurrently running accreditation process, which STU also successfully completed.”
The label was presented by the President of ÚNMS SR, Pavol Pavlis, and accepted on behalf of STU by the University’s Rector, Oliver Moravčík.
We warmly congratulate them on receiving the award.
