The Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic defended the Effective CAF User label
Updated 12.11.2025
The Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic underwent the CAF Model External Feedback assessment and once again obtained the Effective CAF User label.

The Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic (MZ SR) chose the CAF model in 2020 for the improvement of its own processes. MZ SR completed the self-assessment according to this European public administration improvement tool as part of the national project by the Slovak Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing (ÚNMS SR) called ‘Implementation and Support of Public Administration Organisations’. The implementation was concluded in 2021 with a CAF External Feedback assessment and the acquisition of the Effective CAF User label.
Improvement according to the CAF model presupposes the repeated evaluation of established approaches within the organisation, the review of results achieved, and the setting up of further improvement activities and projects. With this goal, MZ SR proceeded to undergo another CAF Model self-assessment in 2023.
The MZ SR CAF team, led by the methodologist, once again prepared a self-assessment report, the key outputs of which were identified strengths and areas for improvement. Subsequently, the CAF team prepared a proposal for an improvement action plan containing various improvement activities. With the aim of verifying the successful implementation of the CAF Model and the level of adherence to the principles of excellence, MZ SR requested a CAF Model External Feedback assessment.
Based on its successful course and the fulfilment of all the methodology conditions, ÚNMS SR, as the national organiser of the CAF Model External Feedback, awarded MZ SR the Effective CAF User label, which is valid for two years.
The label was presented on 10.03.2025 at MZ SR. Pavol Pavlis, President of ÚNMS SR, presented the label to Kamil Šaško, the Minister of Health.
We congratulate them on the received award.
