On 29 October 2025, the CAF External Feedback assessment took place at the Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing (ÚNMS SR), representing the final phase of CAF model implementation.

The assessment was personally opened by the President of the ÚNMS SR, who highlighted the importance of a systematic approach to quality and supported the continuation of activities aimed at improving the Office’s efficiency. His address was followed by the Director of the Quality and Project Management Department, who, as the executive sponsor of CAF model implementation, presented the assessors with the main areas and priorities of the Office in quality development.

The CAF External Feedback follows the self-assessment and improvement phases, and its goal is to verify the correctness and effectiveness of the processes and steps carried out by the organisation during the CAF model implementation. During the assessment, the ÚNMS SR demonstrated a mature approach to process management, an emphasis on the principles of excellence, and a focus on continuous improvement.

The second cycle of CAF implementation, which began at the Office in 2024, was based on experiences from the first cycle, while also bringing new challenges and impulses for further quality development. As part of this cycle, a self-assessment report was prepared, followed by the creation of an Action Plan for Improvement (APZ), in which all employees of the Office were involved.

As the ÚNMS SR acts as the National Organiser of the CAF External Feedback, the assessment itself—similarly to the first cycle—was provided by a foreign partner. The Austrian organiser KDZ (Centre for Administrative Research) was again selected, and the Office will be informed by them about the assessment result and the potential award of the Effective CAF User label.

The assessment was opened by the President of the ÚNMS SR, Ing. Peter Kadlec.
