The Effective CAF User label was presented on 19 March 2025 at the premises of the Slovak Environmental Inspectorate (SIŽP). SIŽP received the label following the successful implementation of the CAF model, which helps the organisation in its efforts to improve and enhance the quality of the services it provides.

It is an important organisation within the environmental sector, whose main mission is to maintain and improve the state of the environment through inspection and permitting activities, based on the rigorous application of environmental legislation. It fulfils its mission through the systematic control of compliance with legal regulations in the field of environmental protection and preventive measures to eliminate negative environmental impacts.

SIŽP began the CAF model implementation in 2021 as a partner in the national project ‘Implementation and Support of Quality Management in Public Administration Organisations’. The organisation chose the CAF Model within the project as a tool for improving and streamlining its activities. The first CAF Model implementation was concluded with the acquisition of the Effective CAF User label in September 2022.

SIŽP started the second CAF Model implementation cycle at the beginning of 2024. The CAF team, led by two methodologists, conducted a self-assessment and prepared a self-assessment report, which formed the basis for preparing a new improvement action plan. The improvement projects chosen for the action plan were focused on ensuring suitable and safe working conditions for employees; reducing the administrative burden within some processes; the active utilisation of internal capacities for education and knowledge exchange; strengthening internal communication; and updating internal regulations.

Confirmation of the correct implementation of the CAF Model and the application of the principles of excellence was verified, just like in 2022, by a CAF Model External Feedback assessment, which the Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing performed in February 2025. Based on the fulfilment of the conditions of this methodology, the Effective CAF User label was awarded to SIŽP for a period of two years. The label was accepted by the Director General of SIŽP, Anna Calpašová, from Anna Budiaková, Director of the Quality and Project Management Department of the Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing.
