Action Plan for Improvement of the Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing
Updated 13.11.2025
The Action Plan for Improvement is not merely a document but a tool serving for continuous progression. The goal is to create an innovative organisation that provides its employees with a working environment in which they feel supported and motivated. This is a complex goal that requires a systematic approach.
In the Action Plan for Improvement of our Office, we have therefore focused on achievable objectives that can help us move closer to fulfilling the organisation’s long-term aims. The areas we focus on in the Action Plan for Improvement include effective communication, process digitalisation, and employee satisfaction. For instance, a planned update of the benefits provided by the Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing could contribute to increasing the Office’s attractiveness as a modern employer; we are interested not only in how to attract new employees but also in how to retain our current ones. The introduction of “exit interviews” could thus help us eliminate any potential shortcomings, as well as ensure the maintenance of knowledge transfer.
We also care about the environment and the mental well-being of our employees, which is why we have prepared a new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) concept that can help us systematise our work on socially responsible activities. We believe that a well-defined plan is the foundation of every effective change.
Innovation is also key to improvement, which is why we would like to explore the possibilities of utilising artificial intelligence, streamlining cooperation in the creation of standards, and adopting measures to ensure the substitutability of Office staff.
The Action Plan for Improvement needs to be regularly evaluated; it is a living document that can be adjusted and revised according to current needs. Even a small step forward can bring us closer to a more effective and better organisation.
