Easy CAF

The EASY CAF methodology and tool are intended for any type of public administration organization in the Slovak Republic, regardless of its field of activity, type or size, that is considering the implementation of CAF and wishes to try out the method of self-assessment according to the criteria of this European tool and the principles of excellence, and subsequently arrive at its first improvement action plan.

The main objective of EASY CAF is to motivate public administration organizations that are considering the introduction of quality management but have no prior experience. The tool is intended for organizations that feel the need to improve in selected areas but are looking for a framework for a comprehensive and, above all, quick self-assessment that, with minimal effort, will move them from self-assessment to improvement. The EASY CAF tool will support decision-making for all public administration organizations that have become enthusiastic about CAF and quality but are facing the dilemma of how to approach implementation, where to start and where to seek support. It is easy to implement and guides the user through a simple and time-efficient self-assessment according to CAF. The tool makes it possible to gain an overall overview of the most important enablers and results of the organization and their interrelationships. This creates space for improvement and a learning process that can move the organization to a higher level of development, where enablers and results better reflect the needs and expectations of stakeholders.

The EASY CAF tool was created with the intention of providing public administration organizations with a simple self-assessment tool. The assessment takes place in 2 steps:

1st step: assessment of the 8 principles of excellence

2nd step: self-assessment of CAF criteria

Organizations that use the EASY CAF tool and carry out self-assessment using this tool will be much better prepared for full implementation of CAF in terms of meeting the requirements of individual criteria, as they had the opportunity to implement improvements based on their own proposals resulting from a rapid self-assessment. The next natural step for these organizations will then be comprehensive implementation of CAF in compliance with the 10 steps of CAF implementation, with strong support from top management, employees, the CAF team, and communication, planning and training activities, concluded with CAF External Feedback and applying for the title of Effective CAF User.
